Update of the 70's Nightclub Reunion Part II

Got a email from our bandleader Robin today with an update of the upcoming 70's Nightclub Reunion Part II. Sounds like it's really shaping up to be a great event. Put it on your calender, Saturday, February 4, 2006. Cool!!!!

Hey Guys!

This is an update regarding the “70’s Nightclub Reunion II”.

This past week, I had lunch with John Berger to keep him updated and he is very excited about the next event as well as our lineup. He is going to support us and push for another feature story in the Star Bulletin! In addition, I will pursue a Mid-Week cover story.

I also had conversations with Dennis Mendoza of Aura/Nomads and they have committed to be apart of the event! He is now exploring the possibility of having Cliff and Mike join them as well as Adney and Bill to restore the horn section they had at the Point!

Mike Nacapuy went to LV in August and hooked up with Butchy from New Experience / Krush. He was not able to get a hold of Wade or Daryl (drums) but Butchy will try to see if he can get a hold of the two and ask if they are willing to come back to Hi for the next event. Once we determine the players for both Aura and New Experience, we’ll coordinate the correct 70’s photo’s to be used for the poster and other ad materials!

I will be going up to LV in October for a convention at which time, I am going to try to get a hold of Van DeGuzman from Phase VII to pick up their photo and try to connect with the three Krush members listed above.

The lineup looks like this for now in tentative performing order.

Greenwood
Phase VII
Aura
Power Point
New Experience

We were looking at the Kasuals but we’ll forgo them on this event and see if a future one has a place for them. There were many financial and logistical challenges in having them join us. The timing was not right. Anyway, this is shaping up to be a very strong event again. I will keep you all posted on any new developments!

Aloha,

Rob
