Twenty eight days and counting.......The 70's Nightclub Reunion II

There are twenty eight days in the month of February except during a leap year and it's twenty eight days and counting to the sequel to the 70's Nightclub Reunion. Put in another way it's exactly four weeks from today. Sheesh!!!!! We must be having tons and tons of fun cause the time is sure flying by. Here's an email from Greenwood's leader and coordinator of this event Robin Kimura with the latest on what's happening. Great job Robin!!!! It's gonna be a real Cool Tropical night in paradise four weeks from today!!!!

Hi All!

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to quickly update everyone on what's been going on. We've been
busy preparing the media events to promote the reunion and so far, things
are starting to shape up!

* Today I called Tiny Tadani and he put me on the air to promote the
reunion. We also agreed that on Jan. 31st Tuesday, we would go into his
studio for a simulcast with his radio station and OC16. If a representative
from each band can be present at 7:30 am, we'll have a great time with Tiny
in his studio to promote the event. By that date, most of the musicians
that are coming in form the mainland should be here. I will give you
details as to the studio location as it gets closer.
* I will be having lunch with John Berger next week Friday to discuss
a possible article in the Star-Bulletin, so hopefully that will pan out like
it did on the first go around.
* There are a few more media events that we are planning, so I will be
in touch with all the bands in the weeks to come. If any of the bands are
interested in appearing on the Perry & Price Show on Saturday Jan. 28 at the
John Dominis Restaurant, please let me know. However, I will need an answer
by Wednesday (Jan. 11) of next week to see if a slot is still open.
* Lastly, tickets have been printed and are ready for sale. We have
already sold several tables of 10 so tickets sales look to be going smoothly
at this early stage. Again to remind everyone, this year the Ilikai will
reserve tables on a first come, first serve basis if a table of 10 is
purchased. It has to be under one person's name. If they cannot pick up
the tickets, they will have them waiting at the door, the night of the
event.
* The order of appearance for the night looks like this. Either
Greenwood or New Experience will perform first and second. This will all
depend of the Krush (NE) landing a later gig for the evening. Aura will be
third, Power Point fourth and Phase VII in the "clean-up" spot.

If anyone ahs any questions, please feel free to call me on my cell at
226-9341. The excitement is building we're looking to have another great
event. Take care and I will stay in touch!

Aloha,

Rob
